Civil Dusk
A Film by David Uzochukwu & Dafe Oboro
Service Production Company - Dafe Films
David Uzochukwu's father followed an Igbo tradition from afar: every son should build a house in his Nigerian family village. The installation merges memories of a haunted family apartment in Europe with a documentary on the custom, co-directed by Dafe Oboro, and is an opportunity for Uzochukwu to build a monument himself - the ghost of a room is filled by projections and piercing soundscapes.
